Hi, we're Giorgos and Roula — a couple of passionate vegans who call Crete home. We have been vegan for over 10 years, and it is not just a diet — it is a way of living. At home, our big family includes cats and a few little humans who keep life wonderfully chaotic and full of love. Our motto is “Life is better when living with kindness”.

We created this guide because we know how hard it can be to find great plant-based food while travelling. When friends and visitors started asking us where to eat, where to stay, and how to navigate the island as a vegan, we realised there was a real gap — and decided to fill it ourselves.

Our mission goes beyond helping travellers. We also want to speak directly to restaurants, hotels, and businesses across Crete — to show them that vegan travellers are a real and growing market worth paying attention to. Every time a business adds more plant-based options to their menu or services, everyone wins: guests get more choice, and businesses reach a whole new audience. We truly believe this is a win-win, and we hope this guide helps make that case.
